The Scrum Master is a facilitator, coach, and guide for the Scrum team. They ensure that the Scrum process is followed, remove obstacles, and foster a collaborative environment. Think of them as the team’s champion, ensuring everyone is on track, empowered, and working effectively.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum events (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-up, sprint review, sprint retrospective)
- Coach the team on Scrum principles and practices, including teaching them how to work together effectively
- Identify and remove impediments and obstacles to the team’s progress
- Promote communication and collaboration within the team
- Support the Product Owner in defining and prioritizing the product backlog
